L,IfiEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires and proposes to undertake a certain public project, to wit: construction of concrete walks around new restroom building at Juarez Park within the City of Anaheim; and ti~IHEREAS, the total cost of said project will be less than Ten Thousand Dollars 0 10,000.00); and [h~IiLREAS, Section 1211 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim authorizes the City to perform such work with City employees or to purchase such materials or supplies in the open market without competitive bidding vai~ere the City Council declares and deterrr~i.nes by resolution that, in its opinion, said work may be performed better or more econom- ically by the City with its own employees, or that the materials or supplies may be purchased at a loT~rer price in the open market; and ~+,nIEREAS, the City Council does hereby declare and determine that, in its opinion, based upon the information and evidence presented to the City Council relating to the aforesaid public project, the work in question may be performed better or more economically by the City with its own employees, and/or the materials or supplies may be purchased at a lower price in the open market. I`?OW, TIiEREFORE, BFt~ IT RESOLU~D by the City Council of the Cit~J of Anaheim that the City of Anah.eirn shall under- take and accomplish the aforesaid public project by performing said work with its own employees and/or purchasing said materials or supplies in the open market without competitive bidding therefor.
