ta1HEREAS, the City of Anaheir!? desires and proposes
to undertake a certain public project, to wit: construction
and installation of a storm drain system at i`~laxwell Parli
within the City of Anaheim; and
,yTHEREAS, the total cost of said project will be
less than Ten Thousand Dollars 0 10,000.00); and
t.~1HEREAS, Section 1211 of the Chartez° of the Cite
of Anaheim authorizes the City to perform such work. with City
employees or to purchase such materials or supplies in the
open market without competitive bidding where the City
Council declares and determines by resolution that, in its
opinion, said work may be performed better or more econom-
ically by the City with its own employees, or that the
materials or supplies may be purchased at a lower price in
the open market; and
Tn?HEREAS, the City Council does hereby declare anc
determine that, in its opinion, based upon the information
and evidence presented to the City Council relating to the
aforesaid public project, the work in question ma~T be performed
better or more economically by the City with its own emplayees,
and/or the materials or supplies may be purchased at a lower
price in the open market.
ISOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim shall under-
take and accomn_lish the aforesaid public project by performin4
said work with its own employees and/or purchasing said
materials or supplies in the open market without competitive
bidding therefor.
