A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS Ah'IENDMENT NO. 146
EXHIBIT "A," AS MODIFIED, RELATING TO THE
CIRCULATION ELEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the recommenda-
tions of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, adopted a.
General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of May, 1978, the City Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public hearing to
consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan Amendment
does consider the amendment to the Circulation Element of the
General Plan in accordance with Exhibit " A " with the following
modifications:
1. Relocating Weir Canyon Road westerly of its current pro-
posed location to a location generally in the vicinity of the
current westerly property boundaries of the Wallace, Baptist Church
Corporation, and Anaheim Hills, Inc. properties.
2. Designating Weir Canyon Road as a "Scenic Expressway."
3. Locating Serrano Avenue generally north of the ridgeline
and extending easterly to proposed Coal Canyon Road.
4. Changing the designation "Expressway" on the legend of
the Map to "Scenic Expressway" and establishing a standard of six
(6) lane divided (74 feet of half - width) roadway for "Scenic Express-
way."
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning Commis-
sion did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC78 -103 containing a report
of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said hear-
ing, and a recommendation that said Amendment to the General Plan
designated as Amendment No. 146 be adopted by the City Council as
hereinabove set forth; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of evi-
dence, report of findings and recommendations of the City Planning
Commission, the City Council did fix the 20th day of June, 1978, as
the time, and the City Council Chamber in the City Hall as the place
for a public hearing on said proposed Amendment No. 146 and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and did
consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 146 amending the Circulation Element of the General
Plan should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 146 to the General Plan
amending the Circulation Element of the General Plan in accordance
with Exhibit " A " on file with the City be, and the same is hereby,
approved, with the following amendments:
1. That Weir Canyon Road be located westerly of its current
proposed location generally in the vicinity of the current westerly
property ownership boundaries of the Wallace, Baptist Church Loan
Corporation and Anaheim Hills, Inc., properties.
2. That the designation of Weir Canyon Road be "Scenic
Expressway."
3. That Serrano Avenue be generally located north of the
ridgeline and extend easterly to proposed Coal Canyon Road.
4. That a "Scenic Expressway" designation replace "Express-
way" on the legend of the map with a standard of six (6) lane
divided (74 feet of half- width) roadway established for "Scenic
Expressway. IT
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Nap to con-
form to General Plan Amendment No. 146, as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day June, 1978.
