A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM PROVIDING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WITH tUNICIPAL DATA SYSTEMS, A JOINT POWERS
AGENCY, PERTAINING TO DATA PROCESSING SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAME.
WHEREAS, Municipal Data Systems (MDS) is a Joint Powers
Agency established for the purpose of providing and maintaining
a centralized data processing system for its member agencies; and
WHEREAS, MDS and the City of Anaheim entered into an
agreement dated October 1, 1976, whereby Anaheim provides data
processing services to MDS; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of both parties to terminate
said agreement and to enter into a new Joint Powers Agreement to
allow Anaheim to continue to provide data processing services to
MDS and its member agencies under new terms and conditions; and
WHEREAS, a Joint Powers Agreement has this day been sub-
mitted, the terms and conditions of which are satisfactory to the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement dated October 1, 1976,
between MDS and the City of Anaheim be, and the same is hereby,
terminated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions
of a new Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Anaheim and
Municipal Data Systems pertaining to data processing services be,
and the same are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of June ,
1978.
