._ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 77R -801, PERSONNEL
RULE 6, PREMIUM PAY, TO ADD THE CLASS OF LEAD
ASPHALT PAVING WORKER TO SECTION 6.6 WHICH PROVIDES
FOR PAYMENT OF TWICE THE REGULAR RATE OF PAY FOR ALL
TIME WORKED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF MIDNIGHT AND 8:00 A.M.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has recommended in a staff report
dated May 10, 1978 that the class of Lead Asphalt Paving Worker be included
in Section 6.6 of the Personnel Rules which provides for payment of twice the
regular rate of pay for all overtime worked between Midnight and 8:00 A.M.
for certain classes, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution
No. 77R -801, Personnel Rule 6, which established Premium Pay Provisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the
inclusion of said job class in Personnel Rule 6.6 is in the best interests
of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 77R -801, Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay, Section
6.6 be amended to read as follows:
Section 6.6 When employees in the following job classes perform
overtime work between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 8:00 A.M., they shall
be paid at the rate of two times their regular rate of pay for each hour
worked between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 8:00 A.M.

When employees in the above job classes perform overtime work as Registered
Disaster Service Workers at the time of a declared disaster under the City
of Anaheim Disaster Plan, they shall be paid at the rate of one - and - one -half
times their regular rate of pay for each hour worked between the hours of
12:00 Midnight and 8:00 A.M.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that except to the extent amended,
Resolution No. 77R -801 shall remain in full force and effect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the effective date of this Resolution
shall be May 26, 1978.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 30th day of May , 1978.
