A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 27th DAY OF APRIL,
1978 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF REFLECTIVE AND
NON - REFLECTIVE RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS AT
VARIOUS LOCATIONS, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
ACCOUNT NO. 17- 4309 - 776 -16- 0000.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 28th day of
March, 1978, . the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
adopt Resolution No. 78R -194 finding and determining that
public convenience and necessity required the construction
and completion for the installation of reflective and non -
reflective raised pavement markers at various locations in
the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and
direct the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law
inviting sealed proposals for the above- mentioned public
improvement and fixing the 27th day of April, 1978, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as the date and hour for the
opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 27th day of April, 1978, the
City Clerk and City Engineer did open the bid received up
to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in the City of
Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review the bid so
received and did report the result thereof to the City
Council at its regular meeting held on the 9th day of May,
1978; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid
received is in excess of the estimate of the C..ty Engineer
of the cost of said public improvement and is not repre-
sentative of actual construction costs; that said bid
should be rejected; and that said job should be readvertised
at a later date..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the bid received up to the hour
of 2:00 o' clock P.M. on the 27th day of April, 1978,
reviewed by the City Engineer and submitted to the City
Council on May 9, 1978 be, and the same is hereby, rejected.
