A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A LEASE TO BE MADE AND ENTERED
INTO WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY FOR
THE LEASING OF CERTAIN PREMISES BY THE CITY
FOR THE PARKING OF VEHICLES AND THE STORAGE
OF PIPE AND MATERIALS.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to lease
certain property owned by the Southern Pacific Company for
the parking of vehicles and for the storage of pipe and
materials; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company has offered
to lease said property to the City of Anaheim and has
tendered to the City a proposed lease to be made and
entered into by the Southern Pacific Company and the City of
Anaheim for the leasing of said property, the location of
which is shown enclosed within red lines on the print of
Southern Pacific Companyrs L. A. Division Drawing #A- 4742,
Sheet No. 1, Revised Jan. 15, 1959, attached to and made a
part of said lease, for a rental of $2,575.00 per annum,
payable annually in advance, upon the terms and conditions
set forth in said lease; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said rate of
rental is fair and reasonable and that the terms and condi-
tions set forth in said proposed lease are satisfactory, and
that it would be to the advantage and for the best interest
of the City to enter into said lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the lease this day submitted to
the City of Anaheim by the Southern Pacific Company, to be
made and entered into by and between the Southern Pacific.
Company, as Lessor and the City of Anaheim, as Lessee, for
the leasing of the premises of Southern Pacific Company
shown enclosed within red lines on the print of said Company's
L. A. Division Drawing #A -4742, Sheet No. 1, Revised Jan. 15,
1959, attached to said lease and made a part thereof, for the
parking of vehicles and for the storage of pipe and materials,
at a rental of $2,575.00 per annum, payable annually in
advance, for the term of one year from the 27th day of April,
1960, with an option for an additional term of one year, and
upon the terms and conditions set forth in said lease, be,
and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director
of the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized to
pay to Southern Pacific Company the sum of $2,575.00 upon the
execution of said lease, to cover the rental thereon for the
term of said lease.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said lease
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 15th day of March, 1960.

Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 15th day of March, 1960, by the following vote
of the .members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Coons, Fry, Pearson, Thompson and
Schutte.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City
of Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 15th
day of March, 1960.
