A RESOLUTION OL THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AN ADDENDUM TO THE
AGREEMENT MADE AND ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY AND THE ANAHEIM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
ON JULY 1, 1959, FOR ADVERTISING OF THE CITY
AT THE WINTER OLYMPICS AT SQUAW VALLEY; AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXE-
CUTE SAID ADDENDUM FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim did heretofore, to wit, on
July 1, 1959, enter into an agreement with the Anaheim Chamber of
Commerce whereby the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce did agree to
render the following services to the City for the compensation
mentioned in said contract:
1. To render services in the development and expansion
of industry.
2. To render services in the development and distribu-
tion of maps, pamphlets, brochures and other printed materials and
also the collection and dissemination of factual data, information
and statistics concerning Anaheim.
3. To aid in and carry on the work of inducing immigra-
tion of industry, business and persons to the City and to furnish
information to the public regarding the City of Anaheim. All
services to be rendered to be at the direction of the City of
Anaheim, and all maps, pamphlets, brochures, and other printed
material to be submitted to and approved by the City Manager of
the City of Anaheim before printing or distribution.
AND WHEREAS, said contract authorizes additional services
to be performed by the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce upon request of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has requested said Chamber
of Commerce to investigate advertising of the City at the Winter
Olympics, Squaw Valley, California and to submit a plan to the
City of Anaheim for such advertising, together with the cost of
such advertising; and
WriEREAS, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce has submitted a
plan calling for the erection of a snow statue to be erected at
the site of the Olympics sponsored by the City of Anaheim at a cost
of X2,000.00 with the proposal that the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce
pay the sum of $500.00 toward the advertising, and the City pay the
sum of 0.,500.00 toward said advertising; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim at its
meeting on January 26, 1960, did approve such advertising and did
approve the payment of the cost of such additional advertising;
NOW, THEREFORE, 2E IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that, under the terms of the aforementioned
agreement dated July 1, 1959, an addendum to said agreement be
made and entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the
Anaheim Chamber of Commerce authorizing said Chamber of Commerce
to contract for the erection of a snow statute at the Winter
Olympics, Squaw Valley, California, for advertising of the City
of Anaheim, and that for and in consideration of such services
by said Chamber of Commerce the City pay to the Chamber of Commerce
the sum of y1,500.00 as the City's proportionate cost of such
advertising.
That said addendum shall further provide that all bills
and demands in connection therewith shall be submitted, audited
and approved in accordance with the terms of the agreement herein—
above mentioned, dated July 1, 1959, and to which said addendum is
to be added.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized to execute said addendum for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 16th day of February, 1960.

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim approved
and signed said Resolution No. 5834 on the 16th day of February, 1960.
