A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING THE REQUEST OF THE SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA DISTRICT CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE FOR
AN AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONS NO. 5 AND 10 OF
RESOLUTION NO. 5329, GRANTING SPECIAL USE
PERMIT NO. 34.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did heretofore, to wit, on July 7, 1959, adopt Resolution No.
5329 granting Special Use Permit No. 34 to Southern California
District Church of the Nazarene Advisory Board to construct a
church and develop the property described in said resolution
for church use and the teaching and preaching of the gospel,
subject to certain conditions set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, after the adoption of said resolution a
written request was filed with the City Council by the Church
of the Nazarene asking for a clarification of Conditions Nos.
5 and 10 of Resolution No. 5329, and for an extension of time
to comply with the erection of the wall mentioned in Condition
No. 5 and to complete the buildings as required by Condition
No. 10; and said request was set for public hearing by the
City Council on February 2, 1960, and notice of such hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did consider said request for amendment of
Conditions Nos. 5 and 10 of said resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said
request should be denied;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the request of the Church of the
Nazarene for amendment of Conditions Nos. 5 and 10 of Reso-
lution No. 5329, reading as follows:
"5. That a 6 -foot masonry wall shall be con-
structed around the north, west and south
boundaries of the property.
"10. That construction of the buildings and all of
the above mentioned requirements shall be
completed on or before 2 years from date
hereof.
