A RESOLU'rION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FOR A
LAND USE SURVh~ AND FOR ADVERTISING AND PRO-
MOTION 01<' THE Cny OF ANAHEIH, AND AUTHORIZ-
ING A CONTRACT WITH THE ANAHEIM JUNIOR CHAM-
BER OF COrcJHERCE FOR THE DOING OF SAID ADVER-
'rISING, AND PFlOVIDING ~10R COHPENSATION TO THE
ANAHEII~ JUNIOR CHAr1BER OF Cm.1NEHCE FOR SER-
VICES TO BE RENDERED 'ra 'l'EE CITY OF ANAHEni.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Junior Chamber of Commerce, located
within the City of Anaheim, has special facilities, knowledge and
experience for makin~ a land use survey in conjunction with the
Master Zoning Plan of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Junior Chamber of Commerce has
special facilities, knowledge and experience for promotion and
advertising work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it 'Lo;ould be for the
best lnterest and welfare of the City of Anaheim and the citizens
thereof to appropriate funds for the making of a land use survey
and for the promotion and advertising of the City of Anaheim for
the purpose of inducing the immigration of industry, business and
persons to said City; and
iffiEREAS, the City Council finds that a great deal of work
and expense is required in connection ,-1i th the land use survey and
the promotion and advertising of the City of Anaheim and that the
Junior Chamber of Commerce of the City of Anaheim is peculiarly
fitted and equipped to perform such work and render such services,
and it would be to the best interest of the City of Anaheim to em-
ploy the Anaheim Junior Chamber of Commerce to render such services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that certain SlIms of money to aid in the making of
the land use survey and the promotion and advertising of the City
of Anaheim be appropriated and set aside for the following purposes
and in the following amounts, to be expended during the period com-
mencing January 1, 1957, and ending June 30. 1957 ,
for the making of a land use survey in conjunction 1.-Tith the Master
Zoning Plan of the City of Anaheim, and compiling statistics in con-
nection with said land use survey, and for compiling a concise
evaluatlon of the statistics and recommending land use in connec-
tion with the Master Zoning Plan of the City of Anaheim, and for
conducting advertising campaigns such as sponsorship of a Miss Ana-
heim in connection with contests wherein it would be beneficial to
h8ve the City of Anaheim y'epresented by such Hiss Anaheim 1 sentry
and for other advertising media and promotion of civic projects
where the public interest will be promoted, the sum of Four Hundred
Twenty-nine and no/100 Dollars (~429.00).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anaheim Junior Chamber of
Commerce be, and it is hereby, employed for the following purposes
and to render the following services.

1. To render services in connection with the Master
Zoninc Plan of the City of Anaheim by making a
land use survey and compiling statistics for the
use of the City Council and the City Planning
Commission.

2. To render services in connection with the
advertising and promotion of the 'City of
Anaheim and inducing the immigration of
industry, business and persons to the City
of Anaheim.
BE IT ?URTHER RESOLVED that the funds hereinabove
appr09riated and set aside shall be paid out upon demands
presented to the City and audited by it as required by law,
and shall be supported by a statement of said Anaheim Junior
Chamber of Commerce showing the amount of liability incurred
as the basis of said claim. That said demands shall be pre-
sented to the City Council and shall be approved by the City
Council before any payments shall be made. Any expenses in
audition to said amounts set forth herein shall be paid by
said Anaheim Junior Chamber of Commerce.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
enter into a written agreement with the Anaheim Junior Chamber
of Commerce, a copy of which is hereto attached and made a part
hereof, for the term JEnuary 1, 1957 to June )0, 1957, both dates
inclusive.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 26th day of December, 1956.
