56R-3618 - RESOLUTION NO. 3618 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COM- MENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEX- ATION OF INHABITED TER.RITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. l\llr s. G . Hazard WHEREAS 1 Fred C. Piepenhrink, Edith O. Piepenbrink, Casella, G. Casella, Thelma N. Hazard and James M. have filed with the City Council a written requestl requesting the consent of the City Council of the City of Anaheim to the commencement of proceedings for the annexation of the herein- after described territory to the City of Anaheiml and stating that said territory is inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of An ahei!l':.; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim and to the qualified electors residing within said territory to permit the above named proponents to commence proceedings for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the conditions hereinarter set forth; and WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City Planning Commission and its report and recommendations received recommending the granting of consent to commence proceedings for annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim. NOW, TIIEREFOREI BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City Council be, and it is hereby given to said proponents to commence proceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the following conditions: First: That the proposal for annexation of said terri- tory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported upon to the proponents by th~ Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of proposed boundaries. Second: That no petition be circulated for the annexa- tion of said territory until after notice of intention to circu- late such petition has been published as required by lawl and a copy of such notice and an affidavit of publication has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days after the date of publication of said noticel and a resolu- tion has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim acknowledging receipt of said notice and approving the circula- tion of said petition. Third: That the circulation of any petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim Shall not be commenoed until twenty-one (21) days after the publication of sa.id notice of intention to circulate the same. The boundaries ~f the territory for which prooeeding~ are proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the City of Anaheim are described as follows: -1- NORTHEAST ANNEXATION NO.2 A parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Lot 8, Block 9 of the Golden State Tract as shown on a map filed in Book 4, Page 66, Miscellaneous maps in the office of the County Recorder of -'aid Orange County; thence, 1. Easterly along the southerly line of Lot 7 of Block 9 of said Golden State Tract 330 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being the southwest corner of Tract No. 1067 as shown on a map filed in Book 34, Page 34 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of said County Recorder; thence, 2. Continuing easterly along the southerly line of said Tract No. 1067, 330 feet, more or less, to the southwesterly corner of Lot 6 in Block 8 of said Golden State Tract; thence, 3. Continuing easterly along the southerly line of Lot 6 and its easterly prolongation through Blocks 8, 7, 6 5 and 4 of said Golden State Tract 6600 feet, more or less to a point, said point being in the westerly line of Tract No. 994 as &ftewft 00 a lilaI' in-B'ocrk' 33, Page 8 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of said County Recorder; thence, 4. Northerly along the westerly line of said Tract No. 994 and its northerly prolonga- tion 1919 feet more or less, to a point, said point being in the southerly right of way line of Orangethorpe Avenue 80 feet wide; thence, 50 Easterly along said southerly right of way line 2000 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being in the easterly right of way line of Miller street 40 feet wide! thence, 6. Southerly along said easterly right of way line of Miller Street 2582 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being in the northerly right of way line of Anaheim Road 40 feet wide; thence, 7. Northerly along said westerly line to a line parallel with and 424.64 feet, more or less, north of the southerly line of said Lot 42; thence, 9.
