ment, and all utilities and transportation, in-
cluding power, fuel and water, and performing
all work necessary to construct and complete in
a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accord-
ance with the specifications, plans and drawings
thereEor on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim, the Eollowing public im-
provement, to wit: The Lincoln-Brookhurst Sewer
Improvement, on Brookhurst Street to a point 620
feet south of Lincoln Avenue, and on the south
side of Lincoln Avenue to a point 1250 feet east
of 3rookhurst Street, consistin'; of the construc-
tion of l3-inch and la-inch V.C.P. sewer laterals,
together with wyes, manholes, steel jacking, and

WHEREAS, the Oity Oouncil did thereupon refer said bids to
the City EnQ:ineer for examination, tabulation
and report to the City Council, and said City Eniineer
did examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the
Counoil the result of his examination and tabulation] and
WHEREAS, the City Oounoil finds that the sealed proposal sub-
mitted by PLUMBING CONTRACTORS. INC., SANITARY DIVISION.
P. O. Box ~36. Santa Ana. California
is the lowest responsible proposal submitted for the furnishing of all
plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and
transportation, inoluding power, fuel a.nd water ana. performing all work
necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner
in strict accordance with the specif:lcations, plans and drawings
therefor on file in the office of the City Olerk of the Oity of Ana-
heim of the public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
together with the appurtenances thereto, and as speoified in the
notioe inviting sealed proposals, and that said proposal of said
above named bidder should be accepted and a contraot awarded to said
bidder in aooordanoe therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above mentioned
sealed proposal is the lowest responsible proposal received and that
the person, firm or corporation submitting sald proposal is a
responsible person, firm or corporation and that the proposal sub-
mitted is the best suited and fitted for the public improvement to
be constructed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, that the sealed proposal submitted by
PLUMBING CONTRACTORS, INC., SANI~ARY DTVTRTON,
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, all utili ties and transportation, including power, fuel
and water and performing all work necessary to construot and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict aocordance with the
speoifications, plans, and drawings therefor on file in the offioe
of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and the notice inviting
sealed proposals, the publiC works and lmprovements hereinabove more
particularly mentioned and described, together with the appurtenanoes
thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract
for the construction and completion of said public improvement be,
and the same is hereby, awarded to the said above named bidder.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tr~t the suocessful bidder or
bidders upon eaoh contract awarded as hereinabove set forth shall
be, and they are hereby required to execute a contract in the required

form with the City of Anaheim upon the terms and oonditions speoified
in the notioe inviting sealed proposals and the proposal submitted
by said sucoessful bidder or bidders and in accordance with the plans
and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove described
and in accordance with the terms, conditions and provisions of this
resolution, and that said successful. bidder or bidders to whom eaoh
contract 1s awarded shall be required to furn\ sh a surety bond in an
amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price for
all labor, materials and equipment to be furnIshed and performed as
set forth in the sealed proposals submitted by said bidder for the
construotion of said publio improvement together with the appurtenances
thereto or such portion thereof as is covered by said contract as
seouri ty for the fal thful performance of said contract and a separat e
surety bond 1n an amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the
construction cost of said publio improvement covered by said oontract
as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furn-
ishing material for said project.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said sucoessful bidder or
bidders be j and they are hereby required to furnish to the Oi ty of
Anaheim in companies satisfactory to the City of Anaheim publio
liability, property damage, compensation, and other insuranoe in
the amounts and for the purposes as set forth and specified in the
notice inviting sealed proposals and subject to the approval of the
City Attorney as to form and sufficienoy.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed
to make, execute and enter into for and on behalf of the City of Ana-
heim 8 written contract with said successful bidder or bidders for the
furnishing of all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performing
all work as hereinabove more particularly described for the construc-
tion, installation and completion of said public improvement herein-
above described upon the terms and conditions as specified in the
notice inviting sealed proposals, the detailed design, plans, profiles,
drawings and general specifications and detailed specifications and
drawings and all addenda thereto and all modifications incorporated
therein prior to the date of the opening of bids, on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and in strict accordance with
the terms, conditions a.nd provisions of this Resolution, and in accord-
ance with all the contract documents herein specified.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
