-- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDF_
WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE
DEVELOPMENT OF MAGNOLI_ A AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to improve Magnolia
?venue f rom Same ~ F~pPt-~~~,.
to La Palma Avenue ; and

WHEREAS, is an important
artery in the County of Orange and of general ounty interest; and
WHEREASg Article 2 and Article 3y Chapter 9g Division 2 of
the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a Countyy if it so desiresy
to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users
Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvements construction or repair
of a street within a City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends toy by appropriate
action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement
Fund for the Fiscal Year 1960-61 _a sum of money for the imprave~
ment of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in acP
cordanee with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Programa
NOW, THER£FOREy BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby requests the Board of Su perm
visors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City from County
Funds the amount of $9.000,00 ,,, , said' amount to be matched
by funds from said Cityy to be used to aid said City in the improvement

to ,j,~,~,~'alma venue , and for the acqu sition of necessary
rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be
in accordance with the attached project statemento
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisor s of the
County o.f Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisi~
tion of rights of way on Magnolia Avenue s in the manner
provided, is in the general County interesto
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolutions the City of
Anaheim agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Fi.nanc~
ins Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of improve°
menu and rights of way will be available for the fiscal year 1960-61 0
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk bey and she is
hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange Countyy California, acid
a certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commissionary Court
House Annex, Santa Ana, Californian
