A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE
WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE
DEVELOPMENT OF BALL RUAD
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to improve Bal~~~joad
from 1.,x,00__, feet east of Dale Av .n ~,~
to Stanton Avenue ; and
WHEREAS, Ball Road is an important
artery in the County of Orange and of general ounty interest; and
WHEREAS9 Article 2 and Article 3~ Chapter 99 Division 2 of
the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County9 if it so desires9
to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users
Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement9 construction or repair
of a street within a City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends toy by appropriate
action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement
Fund for the Fiscal Year 1960-61 a sum of money for the imprc~vem
ment of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in ac~
cordanee with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program4
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby requests the Board of Super®
visors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City from County
Funds the amount of $1l~.000.00 , said' amount to be matched
by funds from said City to be used to aid aid City in the improvement
of Ba11 Road from ue
to t.a t.~n venter , and for the acqu sition of necessary
rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be
in accordance with the attached project statemento
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisor s of the
County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisi~
tion of r fights of way on gall ,goad ~ ~g in the manner
provided, is in the general County interesto
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution9 the City of
Anaheim agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financ~
ing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of improve
ments and rights of way will be available for the fiscal year 1960-61 0
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk beg and she is
hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange Countya California, and
a certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commissioner9 Court
House Annex, Santa Ana, Californian
