A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF ALL-
DAY PARKING METERS ON CERTAIN CITY PARKING
LOTS OR K?RTIONS THEREOF..
WHEREAS, traf f i c in the, City of Anaheim mus t be
better controlled in order to provide a more orderly movement
of traffic in said City; and
WHEREAS, the parking of motor vehicles on the streets
of the City of Anaheim adds to the traffic problem, and
WHEREAS, certain hereinafter described City Parking
Lots, upon the installation of all-day parking meters, will
materially alleviate traffic congestion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the city-owned parking lots
described as;
The West .Portion of the lot on the North side of
West Chartres Street;
The lot on South Lemon Street between Third Street
and Broadway;
Not to exceed one-half of the lot located on the
Southwest corner of the intersection of Oak Street
and Helena Street;
shall have all-day parking meters installed in the manner
determined and prescribed by the City Manager. The Gity
Manager shall, within the budgetary limits determined by him,
prescribe the number of meters to be installed on any of the
above mentioned lots.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public
WorP.s be, and he is hereby, authorized to make the installa-
tion of parking meters and to do all other things necessary
to accomplish said installations pursuant to the direction
of the City Manager.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 22nd day of December, 1959.
