AND ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF LINCOLN TO A POINT 1250 FEET
EAST OF BROOKHURST, JOB NO. 10~;

AND APPRO'VING THE DESIGNS, PLAN$, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIO'NS FOR'THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREO'F; AUTHORIZING THE CQNSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCO'anANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; A~ AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PRO'PO'SALS FOR TIlE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and neeessity require the con-
struction and completion of a public imp~ovement in the City of
Artah.im, to wit:
The Linco1n-Brookhurst Sewer Improvement, on Brookhurst
Street to a point 620 feet south of Lincoln Avenue, and
on the south side of Lincoln Avenue to a point 1250'
feet east of Brookhurst Street, consisting of the con-
struction of 8 and lO-inch V.C.P. sewer laterals, to-
gether with wyes, manholes, steel Jacking, and appurte-
nant work, as indicated on the plans, Job No. 1082;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed George E. Holyoke,
MEnOine*r. to prepare detailed designs, plans, profiles,
'ngs an specifications, and estimates of quantities and coats
amd make necessary surveys for the construction of said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS, saidCity Engineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the construction of
add pUblic improvement and has submitted the same to the City COUD-
0:11; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed designs,
plana, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public Improve-
~nt above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
a.d are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of the City of
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for the purposes
fQr which they are intended, and that they are adequate for the con-
struction of said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO'LVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications for said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said City Engineer_.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specificatlon~ as prepared by
sadd. CijcI Ens.lneer and hereby approVEld, and such addenda
or ..di cations thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing or bids thereror.
BB IT FUR'l'HER RESOLVED that the City C"lerk ot the City or
A~.lm be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish
a botice according to law, inviting sealed proposals ror the rur-
nl~g or all plant, labor, services, materials aJ:ld,equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and
water, and performing all work necessary to construct an~ complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, plans, profiles,; drawings and :specirications as
prepared by said Cit* EnQineer , the public improvement here-
in.bove mentioned an described, ~nd rixing the : 11th day or
, 195 6 , at the hour or 7:00 o'clock p. M.
as e ate an hour ror ~openi~g or said bids at the City
COUDeil Ohambers in the City Hall in the City or Anaheim, and that
sa~4 notice shall be publiShed twioe, the rirst or which publica-
tions shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date rixed ror
thfl O{lening ot bids, and that said publications shall be at least
rive (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successru1 bidder ~r
bi4ders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City
or Anaheim"in the manner and rorm approved by the City Attorney or
the City or Anaheim ror the construction, installation and comple-
tion or said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and specirications prepared by said
~~. fpatneer , the notice inviting sealed proposals, this
Fe$out on and all applicable City Ordinanoes or Code Sections and
the laws or the State or Calirornia, and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a torm approved by the City Attorney.
