1960-6102RESOLUTION N0. 6102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINIHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY AS THE OORONADO STREET ANNEXATION DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 21st day of .Tune 1960 receive a written petition asking that certain new territory described in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the proposal for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, State of California, and reported upon by said Boundary Commission with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries; and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolution described; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one- fourth of the land in the territory by area and by assessed value in the territory proposed to be annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assessment roll; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received and from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows, to wit: CORONADO STREET ANNEXATION That portion of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, being portions of Block K of the Kraemer Tract, as shown on a map filed in Book 1, Pages 111 and 112, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and the Golden State Tract as shown on a map filed in Book 4, Page 66, of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, more particularly described as follows Beginning at an angle point in the existing City limits line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the Northeast Annexation No 2A, to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No, 1269, August 12, 1958, and filed with the Secretary of State, September 12, 1958, said point of beginning being the point of intersection of the Southerly line of the North half of the South half of Lot 15, Block K of said Kraemer Tract with the Easterly right of way line of Dowling Street (40 feet wide); thence, 1. Easterly, Northerly.. and Westerly along the existing City of Anaheim City limits line to the point of intersection with the Easterly right of way line of said Dowling Street (40 feet wide); thence, 2. Continuing to follow said City limits line Northerly to the Southerly right of way line of Anaheim Road (40 feet wide); thence, 3. Continuing to follow said City limits Westerly to the point of intersection with the East line of the West half of Lot 2, Block 14 of said Golden State Tract; thence, 4, Southerly along the last mentioned East line to the South line of the last mentioned Lot 2; thence, 5. Easterly along the last mentioned South line to the Northerly prolongation of the East line of Lots 76 and 77 of the Eucalyptus Forest Tract as shown on a map filed in Book 5, Pages 29 and 30 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence, -2- 6. Southerly along the last mentioned prolongation and East line to the point of intersection with the Southerly right of way line of Coronado Street (40 feet wide), and the existing City limits line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the Dowling Street Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No, 1404 on October 13, 1959, and =fled with the Secretary of State on November 13, 1959; thence, 7. Easterly along the last mentioned Southerly line and the existing City limits line as established by the last mentioned Dowling Street Annexation, to the point of intersection with the Westerly right of way line of Dowling Street (40 feet wide); thence, 8. Southerly along the last mentioned Westerly line to the point of intersection with the Westerly prolongation of the Southerly line of the North half of the South half of said Lot 15, of Block K of said Kraemer Tract; thence, 9. Easterly along the last mentioned prolongation to the point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that such proposed ennexation be designated as CORONADO STREET ANNEXATION end that notice of such proposed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter provided. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be had upon the date set, not le s th n forty (+O) n*r more tha eixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed have petitioned far emnexation or filed their consents t such ennexation, in writing, with the City Council, in which event the hearing shall be set at any time after compliance with Section 35311 *f the Government Code. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does find that the wwner or owners of all of the territory proposed to be annexed have n e--- petitioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annexation, in writing, with the City Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the day of 1960 at the hour of _7:0_0 o T at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall oftthe City of Anaheim be and the same is hereby, fixed es the day, hour and place when and where the City Council will hear proteets made by any owner or *wners of real property within the territory proposed to be annexed; and that et any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner *f property within aeid territory may file with the Oity Clerk e. written protest egainst the annexation. Said protest shall be in writing and shall state the name of the owner of the property effeeted and the description and area of the property in general terms. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, eutherized and direeted to eause a copy of this Resolution to be published at least twiee, but not oftener than once a week, in new paper of general cireulation, published in the City, to wit: The Anaheim Gazette of Anoheim, Orange County, California, and also in a newspaper of generel circulation, published outside of the City, but in the County of Orange, In which is Looted the territory herein. above proposed to be annexed te the City *f Anaheim, to wit: ail_ Placentia Courier Placentl COU. and that such publication sh 11 be completed et least twenty VU) days prior to the date of hearing hereinabove specified. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim he and she is hereby, auth*rized and directed to cause written notice of such proposed ennexetion to be mailed t* each person t* whom lend within the territ*ry proposed to be annexed is assessed, in the 1a 't equelized c*unty ess esment roll available, *n the date the proceedings were initieted, at the address shown on said assessment roll or ets known to said City Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either legel or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim is *ened by a County, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexeti*n to be m lied to the Board of Supervisors of sueh County. The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
