A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING ~HE GRANT FROM SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY OF A RIG-HT TO CONSTRUCT,

PIPELINE BENEATH THE TRACKS AND PROPERTY OF

TENANCE AND OPERATION OF SAID PIPELINE.
','/HEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation of
tile state of Delaware, has tendered to the City of Anaheim an
indenture granting to the City of Anaheim subject to the terms,
covenants and conditions therein contained, the right to con-
struct, reconstruct, maintain and operate a 1211 water pipeline
beneath the tracks and property of the Southern Pacific
Company at Engineer Station 1271+18 situate in the southeast
corner of the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 4
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in
the County of Orange, State of CalDfornla, the center line of
said structure beine more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
westerly line of land (60 feet wide) of the
Southern Pacific Company with a line parallel
with and distant Northerly 23 feet, measured at
right angles, from the easterly prolongation of
the center line of Katella Avenue, (60 feet wide)
as said center line is shown on Orange County
Road Department Map No. 14E, said center line of
Katella Avenue being also the south line of said
Section 23; thence easterly along said parallel
llne to a point in the easterly line of land of
said Southern Pacific Company.
rIhe above described center line is sho..m by a red line on
the print of the Southern Pacific CompanyTs Yuma Division
Drawing A-2G67, sheet No.1, revised July 10, 1956, attached
to and made a part of the indenture above mentioned.
AND V1HEHEAS, said grantor has tendered to the city
of Anaheim the indenture above mentioned to be executed by
said Southern Pacific Company and the City of Anaheim, which
indenture the City Council finds would be for the benefit and
best interest of the City of Anaheim and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the indenture tendered to the City of
Anaheim by the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation of the
State of Delaware, granting to the city, but subject to the
terms, covenants and conditions therein contained, the right
to construct, reconstruct, maintain and operate a 1211 pipeline
beneath the tracks and property of the Southern Pacific Company
at Engineer Station 1271+18 situate in the southeast corner of
the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 4 South, Range
10 West, S. B. B. & M, in the County of Orange, state of

California, the center line of said structure being more
particularly hereinabove described, be, and the same is
hereby approved and acce)Jted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
indenture for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 25th day of October, 1956.
