A RESOLUTION OF TiiE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEU1 APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF KATELLA
AV.:i:1JUE EASTERLY OF PLACE1'jTIA AND ALONG THE
VISTA AVENUE ALIGNMENT JOINING HITH THE TUSTIN
FREEWAY, AND ENDORSING THE IlvIPROVEMENT OF SAID
KATELLA AVENUE AS EXTENDED, AS PROPOSED BY THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE IN I'1'S l:lASTER PLAN FOR THE
INPROVEMENT UF ART1<:IUAL HIGH11AYS TO BE HADE
TO NAJOR HIGHWAY STAlJDARDS.
VIHEREAS, the County of OranGe has adopted a master plan of
arterial highways for the County of Orange which provides for
the extension of Katella Avenue easterly of Placentia Avenue
alon:; the Vista Avenue alig'nment joinini," 1vi th the Tustin
Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the County proposes to improve said Katella
Avenue as extended in accordance with major highway standards;

viHEIlliAS, the County has requested the City Council of the
Ci t,y- of Anaheim to express i ts a001~oval of the extension and
improvement of said Katella Avenue as proposed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that it 1.,ould be to
the advantage ano. best interest of the City of Anaheim and
for the County of Orange, that said Katella Avenue be ex-
tended and in'l~)l'o', ed in accordance ",i th the 1fle"ster plan for
arterial hiChways.
NOW', '1'HE:~,EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Oity Council that
the propo,~al of the County of Orange for the extension of
Katella Avenue easterly of Placentia Avenue alonG the Vista
Avenue aliGnment and. joinin;~' 1iitrl the Tustin Freeway and the
improvement of' Katella Avenue as extended, in accordance with
major high1.,a:l standards, be I and the same is hereby approved
and. endorsed.
