A RESOLUTION OF THE CIn COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWIEOOING RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CIn OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITORY AS THE
NORTHEAST
ANNEXATIONJ DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND
WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPER'l'I WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE AlmEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CIn COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE AImElED TO
THE CIn OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Counoil of the City of Anaheim did
on the 23rd day of October , 192L, receive a
written petition ask1ng that oertain new territory desoribed in
Mid petition be annexed to the City of AnaheimJ atld
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the pro-
posal tor the armexation of the territory he:re1natter described
to the City ot Anaheim was sulai tted to the Boundary Coaission
ot the County of Orange, State of California, and reported upon
by II&1d Bcrluadary COIIIIission with respect to the definiteness and
certainty of the proposed boundaries J and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State ot
California, atld is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is un-
inhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
9f said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
Resolution desoribedJ and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds tram evidenoe and re-
porte reoeived that at the time of the filini and reoeipt of said
petitiont it was and now is signed by owners ot not less than one-
fcrorth (..-) of the land in the territory by area and by &IIsessed
value in the territory proposed to be annexed, aooording to the
last preceding equalized oounty assessment roll; and

WHEREAS, the City Counoil firJds from evidenoe and re-
ports reoeived and from said petition that at the time of the
filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory
propoaed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a
part ot any municipal oorporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited atld is oontiguous to the City of AnaheimJ and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds fram said petition and
evidenoe and reports reoeived that the boundaries of the territory

NORTHEAST ANNExATION

A parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California,
being a portion of Blocks 9 and 10 of the Golden State Tract as shown on a map
filed in Book 4, Page 66 of Miscellaneous Maps, and the South Placentia Tract
No. 2 as shown on a map filed in Book 5, Page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, said
maps being in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County,
described as follows,

Beginning at an angle point in the existing Anaheim City limits line
as established by the East Sycamore Annexation as passed by Ordinance No. 1017
on September 27, 1955, and filed with the Secretary of State on October 28, 1955,
said point being the point of intersection of the Southwesterly right of way
line of the State of California Freeway, known as Route 175, Section B and the
Easterly right of way line of Sunkist Street, said point being 20 feet easterly,
as measured at right angles from the Westerly line of the East 1/2 of Fractional
Section 1, Township 45., Range 10 W., S. B. B. & M.; thence,
1. Northerly along the northerly prolongation of said Easterly right of
way line of Sunkist Street 142 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being
in the Northeasterly right of way line of said State of California Freeway,
known as Route 175, Section B.; thence,
2. Northwesterly along said northeasterly right of way line 135 feet,
more or less, to a point, said point being the point of intersection of said
northwesterly right of way line and the Southerly right of way line of
Analleim road, thence,
3. Easterly along said southerly right of way line of Anaheim road to
a p.int, said point being the point of intersection of the southerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Lot 12 of Block 9 of the Golden State Tract as shown
on a map filed in Book 4, Pages 66 and 67 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of said Orange County and said southerly line of said
Anaheim road, thence,
4. Northerly along said easterly line and its southerly prolongation
680 feet, more or less, to the northerly line of said Lot 12 of Block 9, thence,
5. Westerly along said northerly line of Lot 12 and 13 of said Block 9
and its westerly prolongation, to a point, said point being in the existing
Anaheim City Limits line as established by said East Sycamore Annexation, thence,
6. Southeasterly along said Anaheim City Limits line, said line also
being the Southwesterly right of way line of said State of California Freeway
known as Route 175, Section B., to the point of beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE 11' RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE crTY OF ANAHEJM:
That such proposed annexation be designated as the
NORTHE.I\ST ANNEXATION. and that notice of suoh pro-
posed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter provided. '

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40). nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the
owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed have
petitioned for annexation or filed their oonsents to suoh apnex- "
ation, in writing, with the City Council, in whioh event the
hearing shall be set not less than fifteen (15) days nor more
than sixty (60) days a..fter the passage of this Resolution.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Counoil does
find that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed
to be annexed have _ petitioned for annexation or filed
their oonsents t.o suoh annexation, in writing, with the :City
Counoil ,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 27th day of November,
19-22.., at the hour of 7:00 o'clook.f.a.)1. , at the Qity Counoil
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same
is hereby, fixed as the day, hour twd plaoe when and where the
City Counoil will hear protests made by any owner or owners of
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed; and that
at any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner
of property within said territory may fil~ with the City Clerk a
written protest against the annexation. Said protest shall be in
wri ting .00 shall state the name of the o1Jner of the property
affected and the desoription and area of the property in general
terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
h.reby, authorized and direoted to oause a oopy of this Resolution
to be published at least twioe, but not oftener than onoe a week, .
in a newspaper of general oiroulation, published in the City, to
wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California,
and also in a newspaper of general ciroulation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in whioh is looated the
territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim, to wit: the Placentia Cour ier . ; and that
suoh publication shall be oompleted at least twenty (20) days
prior to the date of hearing hereinabove speoified.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of' the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and direoted
to oa.use written notioe of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to eaoh person to whom land wi thin the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized oounty assessment roll
available, on the date the prooeedings were initiated, at the .
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in whioh he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that ls.nd .
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of'
Anaheim is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall also cause written notioe of suoh proposed annex-
ation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of suoh County.
The foregoing notioes shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days bef'ore the first publio hearing on the proposed annexation.
