A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND ~ECESSITY REQUIRE THE
CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT, TO WIT: THE CLEAR BROOK-AGATE SEWER
LATERAL, FROM A POINT IN AN EXISTING SEWER LINE
IN AGATE STRRRT 48 FEET NOR'fH OF NIOBE AVF.NTTE

DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SAID PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, E?C.; AND AUTHOR-
IZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
A NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.

WHEREAS. public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a publiC improvement in the City
of Anahe 1m, to wi t :
The Clearbrook-Agate Sewer Lateral, from a point in
an existing sewer line in Agate Street 48 feet north
of Niobe Avenue to Clearbrook Lane, and easterly along
Clearbrook Lane a distance of 605 reet, consisting or
excavation, construction of an 8" V.C.P. sewer main,
a 6" house connection, 8" x 4" wyes, three standard
brick manholes, and appurtenant work, as indicated on
the plans, Job. No. 1078.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed Geor~e E.
HOlYOke. Oi ty Engineer to prepare detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles; drawings and specifications, and esti-
mates of quantities and costs, and make necessary surveys for
the construction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Engineer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the
construction of said public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said area for the purposes for whieh they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, pro-
files, drawings and specifications for said public improvement
hereinabove mentioned and described be, and the same are here-
by, approved and adopted as prepared by said Engineer.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as pre-
pared by said Engineer and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding
of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equip-
ment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
.~ and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and com-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in.. str10t accordanc e with
Raid detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions as rrepared by said Cit~ Engineer ,the public improve-
ment he~eir,abcve mentioned an described, and fixing the 23rd
day of October , 1956 ,at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M.
as the c~8.te-7J'~~ hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
COUTJcil CLt3Vn~r<'s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that sale1, ,~.'e shall be published twice, the first of which
publications ;":,,11 be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the :i'l'-::"g of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least f:CiT8 :::;,\ days apart.

C.J.ty Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and signed by
