1960-5983RESOLUTION NO. 5983 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYING WESTERN REAL ESTATE RESEARCH CORPORATION TO MAKE A SURVEY TO DETERMINE THE MOST DESIRABLE LOCATION OR LOCATIONS FOR CIVIC BUILDINGS IN ANAHEIM, IN TERMS OF INITIAL, COST, EFFECT UPON THE TAX BASE, INTER DEPARTMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS, CITIZENS' CONVENIENCE, AND THE ECONOMIC IMPACT UPON THE DOWNTOWN SECTION OF THE CITY. Finance WHEREAS, the City Manager was directed to investi- gate persons, firms or corporations capable of making a survey to determine the most desirable location or locations for civic buildings in the City of Anaheim, in terms of initial cost, effect upon the tax base, inter departmental relationships, citizens' convenience, and the economic impact upon the downtown section of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Manager did investigate various firms and obtained quotations of fees and costs for the making of such survey; and WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the City Manager and the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, the City Council does find that Western Real Estate Research Cor- poration is an organization qualified to make such survey and has submitted the lowest bid for the cost thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Western Real Estate Research Cor- poration be, and it is hereby, employed to make and conduct a survey as outlined in their letter proposal dated April 13, 1960, to determine the most desirable location or locations for civic buildings in the City of Anaheim, in terms of initial cost, effect upon the tax base, inter departmental relationships, citizens' convenience, and the economic impact upon the down town section of the City, and any other factors related thereto; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said survey shall be made, conducted and completed within a maximum of ninety (90) days from and after the date of signing of the contract therefor; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Western Real Estate Research Corporation shall receive as full compensation _t_ for said work and survey, the actual, reasonable and necessary cost in rendering and performing said services, computed and determined in accordance with the Schedule hereto attached marked "Exhibit A but in no event shall the City be obligated to pay more than Twelve Thousand Five Hundred ($12,500.) Dollars for the work and services mentioned herein. The compensation for said services herein provided for shall be paid as follows: On the first day of each and every month, itemized statement s shall be submitted to the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim for presentation to the City Council. Said statements shall show in detail the services rendered for the preceding month, by whom rendered, the number of hours of labor and the actual out -of- pocket costs incurred by Western Real Estate Research Corporation through the personnel assigned tc this work. Said itemized statement shall be presented to the City Council at its next regular meeting following the receipt thereof for approval and payment. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to make and enter into an agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim upon the terms and conditions herein set forth.
