A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION BY CON-
DEMNATION OR OTHERWISE OF APPROXIMATELY TWENTY
FOUR ACRES OF LAND LOCATED BETWEEN NUTWOOD
STREET AND BROOKHURST AVENUE, SOUTH OF BALL
ROAD, FOR PARK PURPOSES, AS SHOWN OUTLINED IN
RED ON THE MAP MARKED EXHIBIT "A" ON FILE IN
THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, AND MORE PARTICU-
LARLY DESCRIBED AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require
the acquisition, improvement and maintenance of a public im-
provement within the City of Anaheim, to wit: A public park,
for park and recreation purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of all that certain real property herein described by the
City of Anaheim for the improvement and maintenance of a
public park for park and recreation purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity
require the acquisition of that certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
more particularly described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL NO. 1:
That portion of Lot 9 of the Kellogg Homestead Tract
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 8, Page 51
of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 8 of said
Kellogg Homestead Tract; and running thence due
South to the South line of said Lot 9; thence West
along said South line to the Southwest corner of
said Lot 9; thence North along the West line of
said Lot 9 to the Southwest corner of Lot 8; thence
East along the South line of said Lot 8 to the
point of beginning.
PARCEL NO. 2:
That portion of Lot 9 of the Kellogg Homestead
Tract, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book
8, Page 51 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office
of the County Recorder of said County, lying east
of the following described line:

Right -of -Way
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 8 of
said Kellogg Homestead Tract; thence due South
along the West line of the land described in the
deed to MARY E. CLARK, recorded May 5, 1920, in
Book 367, Page 4 of Deeds, to the South line of
said Lot 9.
Except, the East 262.25 feet of the South 120.00
feet of said Lot 9.
PARCEL NO. 3:
The East 262.25 feet of the South 120.00 feet of
Lot 9 of the Kellogg Homestead Tract, in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 8, Page 51 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of said County.
PARCEL NO. 4:
The North half of the Southeast quarter of the
Northwest quarter of Section 20, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
as said Section is shown on a map recorded in
Book 51, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County.'
Excepting, therefrom the Southerly 396.6 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity
require the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim
for the improvement and maintenance of the aforesaid project,
and that the taking of the property hereinabove described is
necessary therefor, and that the use to which it is to be
applied is a use authorized by law, and the taking of said
property is necessary to such use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED that said
property be acquired by the City of Anaheim, and the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to institute
an action in eminent domain for the acquisition of the title
to said property, and to perform and carry out all of the
necessary proceedings and steps incident to the acquisition
of the title to said property and to obtaining possession
thereof.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
