OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE ACQUISITION
THEREFOR BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BY EMINENT
DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY IN SAID
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SAID CITY; AND RESCIND-
ING RESOLUTION NO. 6577.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined that
the public interest and necessity require the acquisition,
construction and completion of a public utility extension
and public improvement consisting of electric light, heat
and power lines and works in certain portions of the City of
Anaheim, to be used for and necessary for:
(1) the transmission and distribution of
electricity for the purpose of furnishing and
supplying electric light, heat and power to the
City of Anaheim and certain of the inhabitants
thereof; and
(2) the proper development and control of
such use of such electricity, at this time, and
the future proper development and control thereof,
as a part of the electrical system owned and operated by the
City of Anaheim for furnishing and supplying electrical energy
to said City and certain of the inhabitants thereof.
SECTION 2. The public interest and necessity
require the taking and acquisition by the City of Anaheim
for said public utility extension and public improvement
and use, of the electric light, heat and power transmission
and distribution system of the Southern California Edison
Company located within said certain portions of the City of
Anaheim, including:

All rights of way, easements, interests, licenses,
franchises, and rights pertaining to any part of the distribution
system of said Southern California Edison Company now held,
owned, or used by said Southern California Edison Company for
the erection, construction, maintenance, or operation of that
portion of the transmission and distribution system to be
taken by the City and described in Items 1 to 5 inclusive.

ITEM
All commercial and engineering maps and records of
said Southern Calilornia Edison Company used or useful in locat-
ing, identifying and operating the above described properties
or any part thereof, sought to be condemned, meter records,
transformer records, billirg record, service records, consumers'
service contracts, a all other records necessary or convenient
in recording, billing or co'lecting for electric service in
said certain portions of the City of Anaheim and for maintain-
ing said transmission and distribution system and each and
every part thereof, sought to be condemned.
The council hereby finds that the taking of the
property described above is necessary for the said public
utility extension and publi improvement.
SECTION 3. Said public improvement is planned and
located in the manner which will be most compatible with the
greatest public good and the least private injury.
SECTION 4. The City Attorney of the City of Anaheim
is hereby directed to bring an action in the Superior Court of
the State of California, in and for the County of Orange, in
the name of the City of Anaheim to condemn by eminent domain
proceedings the property &scribed in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 5, For the purposes of bringing such an
action, the City Attorney is hereby empowered to incur in the
name of and on behalf of said City, all obligations and ex-
penses inciJental thereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 6577
adopted December 27, 1960 be and the same is, hereby
rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 17th day of January, 1961.
