A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM SUSPENDING OPERATION AND TIME
LIMITS ON ALL PARKING METERS AND PUBLIC. PARK-
ING LOTS IN ALL AREAS OF THE CITY FROM DECEEBER
16TH TO DE CEir BER 24TH, 1960, BO T H DATES IN-
CLUSIVE.
WHEREAS, the advent of the Christmas shopping sea-
son imposes a. critical burden upon parking facilities within
the City of Anaheir:; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council
of the City of Anahei that the 1i on parking on the
City streets and parking lots within the City of Anaheim adds
to the traffic congestion and parking probler,s; and
IT :liEREAS, the parking meters are installed as a
device to regulate the time limit of parking;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheir: that the operation and time limits
be suspended on all parting reters and public parking lots
in all areas of the City of Anaheim from Decer 16th to
December 24th, 1 9'60, both dates inclusive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, directed to forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the Chief of Police.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 13th day of Decer: 1960.
