A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
4910 RELATING TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF SMITH,
POWELL MORGRIDGE, ARCHITECTS.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 9th day of December,
1958, the City Council did duly pass and adopt Resolution
No. 4910, employing Smith, Powell Morgridge, Architects,
to render architectural and engineering services for the
design and construction for a new civic center in the City
of Anaheim and providing for compensation therefor; and
WHEREAS, said resolution provided for architectural
services for a library building, police facilities building,
city hall, and appurtenant work, including site development;
and
WHEREAS, an agreement dated the 9th day of
December, 1958, was made and entered into by and between
the City of Anaheim and said architects, wherein and whereby
it was provided that "Upon the completion of the preliminary
structural and architectural studies, and /or sketches,
estimates of cost and the approval and /or the adoption there-
of by the Owner," said architects would be entitled to com-
pensation amounting to two and one -half (2 -1/2) times the
drafting time plus actual cost of architectural rendering;
and
WHEREAS, said preliminary structural and archi-
tectural studies, sketches and estimates of cost have not
been approved or adopted by the City and it is the desire
of the City to eliminate from said contract the library
building, and said architects have agreed to said deletion;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 4910 adopted on
the 9th day of December, 1958, be and the same is hereby
amended by deleting therefrom the library building and all
references thereto in connection with the employment of
said architects and the services to be rendered by them.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said architects be paid
the sum of $4,165.00 for their services heretofore rendered in
connection with necessary services performed in the preparation
of preliminary structural and architectural studies and /or sketches
of the library and all revisions thereof, and that said sum shall

constitute full and final payment to said architects for
all the services rendered in connection with said library
building and appurtenant work.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 25thday of April, 1961.

Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 25th day of April, 1961, by the follow-
ing vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Chandler, Coons, Fry, Thompson
and :Schutte.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City
of Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 25th
day of April 1961.
