A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY
FOR, AND DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION BY
EMINENT DOMAIN OF, REAL PROPERTY FOR PARK
AND RECREATION PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition, improvement and maintenance of a public improvement
within the City of Anaheim, to wit: A golf course, for park and
recreation purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of all
that certain real property herein described by the City of
Anaheim for the improvement and maintenance of a golf course
for park and recreation purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as follows, to wit:
That portion of the Southwest quarter of the South-
east quarter of Section 7, Township 4 South, Range
10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, described
as follows:
Commencing at a point in the West line of the South-
west quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 7,
distant 679.36 feet, N. 0 17' 30 West of the
Southwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the
Southeast quarter of said Section 7, as shown on a
record of survey, filed in Book 41, Page 26, Records
of Orange County, California, thence N. 89 02' 18"
E. 330.08 feet to the true point of beginning, thence
N 0 17' 20" West 244.45 feet, thence N. 89 02' 10"
E. 330.10 feet, thence S. 0 17' 10" East 244.46 feet,
thence S. 89 02' 18' West 330.09 feet to the true
point of beginning.
Containing 1.85 Acres more or less.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity
require the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for
the improvement and maintenance of the aforesaid project, and
that the taking of the property hereinabove described is
necessary therefor, and that the use to which it is to be
applied is a use authorized by law, and the taking of said
property is necessary to such use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED that said
property be acquired by the City of Anaheim, and the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to institute
an action in eminent domain for the acquisition of the title to
said property, and to perform and carry out all of the necessary
proceedings and steps incident to the acquisition of the title
to said property and to obtaining possession thereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 14th day of March, 1961.
