A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYING BOYLE ENGINEERING TO
PERFORM THE DETAILED CONSTRUCTION STAKING AND
INSPECTION ON WATER STORAGE RESERVOIR UNIT
NO. 4 OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable that Boyle Engineering
perform detailed construction staking and inspection in
connection with the construction of water transmission main
known as Unit No. 4, being a portion of the water storage
reservoir and water transmission main for which said Boyle
Engineering was hired for the performance of engineering services
by agreement the llth day of June, 1958; and
WHEREAS, said agreement specifies:
"It is agreed that such detailed construction
inspection, subsurface explorations, design,
and construction tests, construction surveys
and staking as may be required, shall be
executed at the direct expense of the City
and in a manner to be mutually agreed upon
between the City and the Engineer."

AND WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering has submitted to
the City an hourly rate for said work and has submitted a
proposition requesting authorization to retain a reputable
testing laboratory and soils engineer to perform the necessary
plant and field control, cost of such services to be paid as a
reimbursement to Boyle Engineering by the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, it is determined that the proposal of
Boyle Engineering is satisfactory to the City of Anaheim and
in accordance with the terms of the aforementioned agreement
entered into on the llth day of June, 1958.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Boyle Engineering is authorized to
perform detailed construction staking and inspection on an
hourly basis with compensation therefor to be invoiced monthly
during the course of said construction. The hourly rates for
the required personnel will be as follows:
Resident Registered Engineer $15.00
Assistant Engineer 12.00
3 -Man Survey Party 21.50
Survey Supervisor 12.00
Inspector 8.00
Draftsman 8.75
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Boyle Engineering is
hereby authorized to retain a reputable testing laboratory and
soils engineer to perform necessary plant and field control as
may be required from time to time and the City hereby agrees
to reimburse Boyle Engineering for the actual cost expended by
Boyle Engineering for such contracted plant and field control
upon submission by Boyle Engineering of invoices and other
verified data as may be required by the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of March, 1961.

do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 7th day
of March, 1961, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Chandler, Coons, Fry, Thompson,
and Schutte.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said resolution on the 7th day of March, 1961.
