A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN
EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COM-
PANY FOR A SUBSTATION AND FOR ELECTRIC LINES,
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SAID GRANT
OF EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company has
requested authority for the right to construct, maintain and
operate an electric substation in, under, upon, over and across
the real property described and designated as "Substation Sites'
in a Grant of Easement this day submitted to the City Council
to be executed by the City, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, and has further requested the right to
construct, use and maintain electric lines in, on,over and
across certain real property also described in said Grant of
Easement above referred to; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the granting of
such rights or easement for the purposes above mentioned, over
the properties described in said copy of Grant of Easement
attached hereto will not interfere with any contemplated public
use of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that there be, and there is hereby, granted
to Southern California Edison Company, a California corporation,
its successors and assigns the right to construct, use, main-
tain, alter, add to, repair, replace, inspect and /or remove,
buildings, structures, poles, towers, transformers, fences, con-
crete pads and other fixtures and appliances and property which
said Southern California Edison Company may find necessary or
convenient for the maintenance and operation of an electrical
substation, in, under, upon, over and across that certain real
property described and referred to as `Substation Site" in the
copy of Grant of Easement attached hereto, and that there be
and there is hereby further granted to Southern California Edison
Company, its successors and assigns the right to construct, use,
maintain, alter, add to, repair, replace, inspect and /or remove
electric lines, consisting of poles, towers, cross -arms, wires
and other fixtures and appliances for conveying electric energy
to be used for light, heat, power, telephone and /or other pur-
poses, in, on, over and across certain real property also des-
cribed in said copy of Grant of Easement attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Grant of Easement
this day submitted to the City Council, a copy of which is
attached hereto, be and the same is hereby approved, and that
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to
execute said Grant of Easement for and on behalf of the City
of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of March, 1961.
