1961-6652A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND URGING THE
ENACThENT OF SENATE BILL NO. 281 BY THE
CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE.
WHEREAS, there has been introduced into the Senate
of the California Legislature Senate Bill No. 281 to amend
Sections 10, 17, 13, 20 and 27 and to add Section 17.1 to the
Orange County Water District Act (Ch. 924, Stats. 1933), re-
lating to the Orange County Water District and declaring the
urgency thereof, to take effect immediately; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the amend-
ment to said Orange County Water District Act is necessary in
order to enable said District to purchase more water for said
County, and that the amendment of said Act to accomplish said
purpose would be highly beneficial to the County of Orange
and the City of Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the enactment of Senate Bill
No. 281 be, and the same is hereby, approved, and that our
representatives in the California Legislature be urged to
support said Senate Bill and endeavor to secure the enact-
ment thereof.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy
of this resolution be forwarded to our representatives in
the California Legislature and a copy thereof to the Legis-
lative Committee in charge of such legislation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of February, 1961.
