A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT #1204. WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA FOR MODIFICATION OF HIGHWAY
LIGHTING AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS ON STATE
HIGHWAY ROUTE VII -ORA -2 -ANA (LOS ANGELES
STREET), BETWEEN SOUTH STREET AND LA PALMA
AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
Public Works, Division of Highways, and the City of Anaheim
contemplate modification of the existing highway lighting
at the intersections of South Street, Water Street, Santa
Ana Street, Broadway, Chestnut Street, Chartres Street,
Cypress Street, Adele Street, Sycamore Street, Wilhelmina
Street, North Street and La Palma Avenue with State Highway
Route VII -Ora -2 -Ana (Los Angeles Street), all within the
City of Anaheim, and desire to specify the proportionate
share of the costs that are to be borne by the City and
the State of California and to arrange for the maintenance
functions that are to be performed by the City; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
Public Works, Division of Highways, has submitted to the
City Council a form of agreement entitled, "Agreement
#1204" to be made and entered into by and between the City
and the State for the modification of the existing highway
lighting at the intersections above named, upon the terms
and conditions and for the proportionate share of the costs
as set forth in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and best interest of the City to enter into
said agreement with the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said Agreement #1204 this day
submitted to the City Council by the State, of California,
Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, to be made
and entered into by and between the City and the State for
modification of the existing highway lighting at the inter-
sections of South Street, Water Street, Santa Ana Street,
Broadway, Chestnut Street, Chartres Street, Cypress Street,
Adele Street, Sycamore Street, Wilhelmina Street, North
Street and La Painia Avenue with State Highway Route VII
Ora -2 -Ana (Los Angeles Street), all within the City of Anaheim,
upon the terms and conditions and for the proportionate share
of the costs as set forth in said agreement, be, and the same
is hereby, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 6th day of June, 1961.
