A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'fHE CIT:{ OF
ANAHEli'! FINDING AND DETERMINING '!HAf PU!LIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBL IC IMPROVDmNT, TO WIT:

AND AP.PROVIN'O. THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFIL~S, DRKW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUmORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR lRE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construotion and oompletion of a publio improvement in the City
ot Anaheim, to wit:
Construotion and oompletion of Fire Station No.3, on South
Manohester Avenue between Midway Drive and Katella Avenue,
consisting of 3300 sq. ft. in area, single story, wood trame,
concrete slab floor, laminated wood beams, metal flashing,
exterior and interior plaster finish, metal sashes, power
operated overhead door, asphalt tile, wood cabinets, ceramio
tile, forced air heating system, toilet partitions, plUmbing,
eleotrioal, and all appurtenant work, as indicated on the
plans, Job No. 382.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instructed Rowland & JOhnston,
Fre~ V. Johnston. Architect to prepare detailea designs,
pians, profites, drawings a~ speoifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs, and make neoessary surveys for the cQDstrue-
tion of said publiC improvement; and
WH~EAS, said Archi teet has prepared said GetaUad
de8igns, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the con-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the sa.. to
the City Counc 11; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed 4e-
sien', plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for sa14 public
improvemErlt above mentioned are in accordance with good engineerlns
praotice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements ot
the City of Anaheim and the oitizens and residents in said area tor
the purposes for Which they are intended, and that the7 are ade-
quate for the construction of said publ ic improvement and should
be approved.
NOW, 'lHEREFOM, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Caunoll of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, prOfiles, draw-
ings and speoifioations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the sB.lI1e are herebJ', approved and
adopted as prtpared by said Architeot .
AND BE IT FUlUtiER FlESOLVED that said pUblic improvement

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equip-
ment, a~d all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
- and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and com-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in str-lct accordance with
said detailed designs, plans, prOfiles, drawings and specifica-
tions as prepared by said Architect , the public improve-
ment hereinabove mentioned and described, and fixing the ~tn
day of ~~tember , 195 6 , at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M.
as the date .l,,~~ hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Council Ch8>i1~)~ s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that 3ai(1. r:-:~ re shall be published twice, the first of which
publications ;!lsll be at least ten (0) days prior to the date
fixed for the r:;.;,--; :~c'g of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least f~ve :~.: days apart.
AND BE Ie FURTHER R3S0LVE:]) that the Bucca ssful bidder
or bidders ~(:.c~J. b8 required to enter into a contract with the
City of AneC-lfC"jr, in the manner and form approved by the City

O."u::nan ces or Code Sections an d the laws of the State of Ca1i-
i\) mia, and shall be requi red to post bonds and insurance in the
amounts and wi thin the time required by law, as specified in the
notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a form approved by the
City Attorney.
