RESOLUTION NO.~4~'2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A VARIANCE. (No. 580)

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition from the property owner__ and/or
Agent of certain real property situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows:
That portion of Section 6, Township L~ South, Range 10
West, S. B. B. & M. described as follows:
, Beginning at a point in the South line of said Section 6
086 feet '.vest of -che Southeast corner of said Section 6; thence
West along said line 636.75 feet; thence North 614 feet; thence
East, parallel with the South line of said Section 6, 636.4 feet;
thence South, pccrallel ..lith the EDst line of' said Section 6, to
the point of beginning.
Except Highway, the West 153 feet of the East 8.39 feet of
the South 160 feet, and Freeway.
(Located Northecsterly of 1',lanchester 100 feet and 1.50 feet North
of La P[llma)
and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a public
hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said petition
on July 2nd. 1956 , notices of which said public hearings
were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, invest-
igation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. 2.32 recommending to the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Variance No.5SQ. be granted upon the
conditions stated in said resolution; ana----
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:

1. There are exceptional or extraordinary circum-
stances or conditions applicable to the property in-
volved or to the intended use of the property that
do not apply generally to the property or class of
use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such a variance is necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of a substantial property
right possessed by other property 1n the same vicinity
and zone and denied to the property in question.
3. That the granting of such variance will not be
materially detrimental to the public welfare or in-
jurious to the property or improvements in such
Vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
4. That the granting of such variance will not
adversel1Jarfect the comprehensive general zoning plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a conditional zoning variance be) and the
same is hereby granted to FREl'1ATIC HOl1ES, IN cr. , P.O.Bo.x 36b, ....
Anaheim, California for the use of said proporty for the
foltowing purposes:. To erect a temporary subdivision directional
sign to advertise the sale of houses and lots in Tl'act No. 1940,
being a reloci,tion of one-half sign that was removed from its
original locatien, to be used for the remaining time allotted the

original sign, which is four months, subject to the follo\1Ting

Sign shall be a maximum size of 10 by 25 feet.
Sign will be permitted for a maximum of 4 months.
A permit must be taken out with the Building Department.
The name of the sign company must appear on every sign
erected.
Sign must be 10 feet bacl: of the right-of-way line of
any street.
At the intersection of streets, the sigh must be set
back 25 feet.
Sign shall have a 6 foot ground clearance.
The fee shall be ~?25. 00.
Sign variance shall be permitted for directional sign
advertising only tracts within the city limits of
Anaheim.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke such
variance permit for good cause or failure of said owner or its
successors or assigns to comply with the Anaheim Municipal Code
ane regulations and the conditions herein. Said variance is
granted for the term prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal Code
unless otherwise specified herein.
