A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETEffi1INING
THAT A CHANGE OF ZONE SHOULD NOT BE
GRANTED IN A CERTAIN AREA OF THE CITY,
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution re-
commending that a change in the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described be denied, after having fixed
a time and place for the holding of a public hearing thereon in
the manner and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code, and after having duly held and conducted
such public hearing to consider said proposed change of zone or
zones, and after having received evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following
the hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce
by formal resolution its findings of facts and declare its opinions
and reasons for recommending that said proposed change in the
boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and des-
cribed be denied; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation
of the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon
fix the 24th day of July, 1956 as the time and the Council Chamber
in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public
hearing upon said proposed change of zone or zones, and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did there-
upon consider the recommendation of the City Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does dind and determine that
the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which
it is now situated to a different zone or zones as hereinafter set
forth is more suitable for the zone in which it is now incorporated
and that a change of zone should not be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows, to wit:
The property located at the Northwest corner
of South Placentia Avenue and Morava Avenue in
the City of Anaheim, more particularly described
as follows:

Commencing at a point 30 feet from the center
line of South Placentia Avenue and extending
Westerly along the Northerly right-of-way of
Morava Avenue, a distance of 190'; thence Northerly
parallel to South Placentia Avenue a distance of
123 feet; thence Easterly a distance Of 35 feet

parallel to Vermont Avenue; thence Southerly
a distance of 30 feet, more or less, parallel
to Verde Street; thence Easterly 152 feet,
more or less; thence Southerly 137 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning.
remain in the R-A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICID~TURAL ZONE, in which it
is now incorporated, and that the reclassification to R-3,
lroLTIPLE FM1ILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE and C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD COI~,lliR-
CIAL ZONE, be denied, as recommended by the City Planning
CODmission in its Resolution No. 219 - Series 1955-56.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 24th day of July, 1956.
