RESOLUTION NO. 3395
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A
CHANGE OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN OERTAIN AREAS
OF THE CITY AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2, OJ'
THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE .AMENDED
TO ACOOMPLISH SAID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the Oity Planning Commission of the Oity of Anaheim
has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution deolaring its
intention to ohange the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter
mentioned and described and did fix a time and plaoe for the holding
of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as presoribed in
Article IX, Ohapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and did dUly
hold and conduot two public hearings to consider such proposed ohange
of zone or zones and did reoeive evidence and reports from persons '
interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce
by formalresolution its findings of faot,s and!declare its opinions
and reasons for recommending an amendment to said Article IX,
Ohapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed changes
of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of the
Oity Planning Commission, the City Counoil did thereupon fix the
24th day bf JulY, 195~, as the tlfI1e and the Oouncil
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for
a public hearing upon said proposed change of zone and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said publio hearing,
the City Council did duly hold and conduct suoh public hearing and
did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard
and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon consider the
reoommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be chan~ed from the zone in whioh it
is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set forth, is more
suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to ohange
said property and area and that the inclusion of said property and
area in suoh new zone or zones will increase the value of said
property and area and will not depreciate the values of property in
adjoining zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
Oity of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
Oity of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, desoribed
as follows, to wit:

Lot 21 of "Golden State Traot No.2" as per map
recorded in Book 4, Page 68 of Misoellaneous
Maps in the office of the Recorder of Orange
County. (Said property is located on the south
side of Romneya Drive between the Edison School
property and Baxter Street.)

be ohanged from R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRIOULTURAL ZONE to R-3,
MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE,
Upon the following conditions:
(1) That appropriate R-3 deed restrictions be
placed of record by the owner or owners of
subject property as required by the City of
Anaheim and approved by the City Attorney.
(2) That the dwellings to be erected on subject
property shall be restricted to one story
in height.
(3) That the owner or owners of subject property
deed to the City of Anaheim a strip of land
10 feet in depth along Romneya Drive and a
strip 10 feet in depth along Baxter Street
for future street widening purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and he is
hereby authorized and direoted to prepare and submit to the Ctty
Counoil an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Muni-
cipal Oode to amend said Anaheim Municipal Oode to aocomplish the
objeot herein found a.nd determined to be neoessary and proper.
