A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'lHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
The Haster street sewer laterals from Katella
Avenue to Midway Drive. Job No. 1070.
AND APPROiTING THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS I public convenienoe and necessity require the
construction and completion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Construction of the Raster street sewer laterals
from Katella Avenue to Mid~!aY Drive, consisting
of a 12-inch V.C.P. lateral and an 8-inch V.C.R
lateral, construction of standard manholes,
resurfacing and remodeling, and appurtenant work
as indicated on plans, Job No. 1070.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instruoted George E.
Holyoke Cit..J:: EnEineer to prepare detailea designs,
plans, profifes, drawings and speoifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs~ and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said :Jit;y Engineer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and spec1f1cations for the oon-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Counoil; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
si~s, plans, profilesl drawings and specifications for said pUblio
improvement above mentioned are in accordanoe with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
th e purpose s for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said publiC improvement and should
be approved.
NOWJ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profilesJ draw-
ings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and desoribed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City Engineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
sha 11 be constructed in accordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, prOfiles, drawings and speoifications as prepared by said
Cit! Engineer and hereby approved, and suoh addenda or
modi!' oations thereto as may be appro ved prior to the awarding of
bi ds th er efor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and direoted
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
ror the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
power, rtiel and water, and performing all work necessary to con-
struot and oomplete in a good and workmanlike manner, in striot
accordanoe with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specirications as prepared by said Engineer, the
public improvement hereinabove mentioned and desoribed, and
fixing the l~A~ day of JU~V , 195 6 , at the hour
of 7:00 o'cloc .M. as the ate and hour for~ opening or
said bids at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall in the
City of Anaheim, and that said notioe shall be published twioe,
the first of Which publications shall be at least ten (10) days
prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, and that said
publioations shall be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the suooessrtil bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contraot with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, instal-
lation and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordanoe with the plans and
speoifications prepared by said Engineer, the notioe inviting
sealed proposals, this resolution and all applioable City
Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the State of Cali-
fornia, and shall be required to post bonds and insuranoe in
the amounts and within the time required by law, as specified
in the notioe inviting sealed proposals, and in a form approved
by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and signed by
me this 17th day of July , 195-2-.
