A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM PROVIDING FOR AN OVERHEAD
AND ADMINISTRATIVE COST TO BE ADDED TO ALL
MISCELLANEOUS BILLINGS FOR MATERIALS,
EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES FURNISHED BY THE
CITY, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2032.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did establish a charge of 15% to be added to all miscellaneous
billings for overhead costs in connection with the furnishing
of materials, the use of equipment and the furnishing of ser-
vices by the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, experience has shown that the set percentage
figure is not realistic and that overhead charges should be
set and determined in accordance with actual costs incurred;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the cost
of handling materials, the cost of manning and the use of
equipment, and the cost of fringe benefits paid by the City
for personal services is a proper charge to be added to mis-
cellaneous billings for materials, equipment and services to
defray the cost of overhead incurred by the City in connection
with such billings;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 2032 be, and the
same is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that there shall be added to all miscellaneous
billings of the City of Anaheim for materials, equipment and
services a charge to include all fringe benefits paid by the
City for personal services, a charge for handling all materials
furnished by the City and a rental charge which will include
the cost of maintenance and depreciation on equipment furnished
by the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the overhead charges to
be added to all billings for materials, equipment and services
shall be determined by the Finance Director according to the
overhead costs actually incurred by the City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 2nd day of January, 1962.
