A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYING BOYLE ENGINEERING,
CONSULTING ENGINEERS, TO MAKE AND PREPARE
PRELIMINARY STUDIES, SURVEYS, DESIGNS, TEST
BORINGS, SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATIONS, AND.SUCH
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION TESTS AS MAY BE
REQUIRED FOR THE LOCATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF
A WATER STORAGE RESERVOIR APPROXIMATELY 1500
FEET EAST OF THE OLIVE HILLS RESERVOIR.
WHEREAS, in connection with the use and operation
of the Olive Hills Reservoir, it is necessary to employ con-
sulting engineers for the preparation of preliminary studies,
surveys, designs and construction tests for the location and
construction of a water storage reservoir approximately 1500
feet east of said Olive Hills Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering is qualified to render
all said required engineering services and desires to be
employed for such purpose; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering has submitted a proposal
for the engineering aforesaid dated November 13, 1961, the
terms and conditions of which proposal, including fees, are
satisfactory to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Boyle Engineering, consulting
engineers, be, and they are hereby, employed to do the engineering
work necessary for the preparation of plans, specifications
and supervision of construction of a 750,000 gallon capacity
water storage reservoir and connecting pipeline, approximately
1500 feet east of the Olive Hills Reservoir, for a fixed fee
of $4,950.00, all as more particularly set forth in the pro-
posal letter of Boyle Engineering, dated November 13, 1961.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim
enter into a contract for the engineering services of Boyle
Engineering in substantial conformance with said proposal
letter of November 13, 1961, and that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute such contract on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 28th day of November, 1961.
