A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM PROCLAIMING THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM TO BE A 'FOUR -WAY TEST" CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL ROTARY CLUB TO
ESTABLISH CITY PROMOTIONAL ADVERTISING
INCORPORATING THE FOUR -WAY TEST WITHOUT
USING THE NAME OF ROTARY OR ROTARY INTER-
NATIONAL.
WHEREAS, the local chapter of Rotary International
has presented the "FOUR -WAY TEST" as an appropriate standard
to govern the action of cities and in particular the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
considered the "FOUR -WAY TEST," to wit: "FIRST, IS IT THE TRUTH?
SECOND, IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED? THIRD, WILL IT BUILD GOOD
WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? FOURTH, WILL IT BE BENEFICIAL TO
ALL CONCERNED and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim after
due consideration finds that the "FOUR -WAY TEST" is a good
standard by which to guide their determination for action on
matters which come before them in City business.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim is hereby declared
a "FOUR -WAY TEST" City and that the "FOUR -WAY TEST," to wit:
"FIRST, IS IT THE TRUTH? SECOND, IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED?
THIRD, WILL IT BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? FOURTH,
WILL IT BE BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED is hereby established
for action upon matters which come before the City of Anaheim
and the City Council for action and determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the local Rotary Club is
hereby authorized to advertise and promote the fact that the
City of Anaheim has adopted the "FOUR -WAY TEST" providing that
the name of Rotary or Rotary International is not utilized in
such promotional advertising.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of November, 1961.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and said Resolution No. 7348 on the 7th
day of November 1961.
