A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A CONTRACT WITH. °ATES, HERFURTH AND
ENGLAND AS CONSULTING ACTUARIES IN CON-
NECTION WITH THE 1957 STATE EMPLOYEES
RETIREMENT ACT.

WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has heretofore deter-
mined that it would avail itself of the provisions of the
State Employees' Retirement Law and would participate in the
State Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, the services of consulting actuaries are
necessary to make the investigation and valuation required
by Chapter 4, Article 1, of the State Employees' Retirement
Law to determine the City's participation in said State
Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Coates, Herfurth and England,
Consulting Actuaries, have submitted a form contract for
services to determine the approximate contribution of the
City to said retirement system; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to employ the firm of
Coates, Herfuth and England to perform said services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the firm of Coates, Herfurth and
England, Consulting Actuaries, be, and it is hereby, employed
to perform for the City of Anaheim the investigation and
valuation services as required by Chapter L, Article 1, of
the State Employees' Retirement Law in accordance with the
terms and conditions set forth in that certain written agree-
ment (being Ret. Form 113 -1 (Rev. 3/57) dated February 6,
1962, this day submitted to the City Council and incorporated
herein by reference and made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 6th day of February, 1962.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
