BIDS FOR THE P'URIIISHUG OF SAID PIPE AID FITTINGS,
WORK ORDER NO. 1424.
WHEREAS, the City Council dO.s find and determine that
p.blic convenience and necessity requ~re the purchase and acquisi-
tion of reinforoed concrete steel cyl~nder pipe and fitting., in-
cluding rubber gaskets for installatiQn, for us by the Water
Department of the City, in the amounts hereinafter specified; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil does further find that the
speoifioations of suoh pipe and fittings should be fixed and
determined; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
notice should be pUblished inviting bids for the furnishing of
pipe and fittings in the amounts and ~n accordanoe with the speci-
tications hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Counoil ot
the City of Anaheim that all reinforced concrete steel cylinder
pipe and fittings purohased by and f~ni.~ to the City of
Anaheim shall conform to and comply with IInterim Federal Speci-
fication.1 Pi~e: Pressure, reinforced, concrete, pretensioned
reinforcement (steel cylinder type) - No. S5-P-00381 (GSA-FSS)
issued April 2, 1953 and modified by the following: Pipe shall
be Class IJO for 150 pounds maximum water working pressure.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there shall be pur-
chased for the Water Department of the City of Anaheim rein-
forced concrete steel cylinder pipe and fittings, including
rubber gaskets for installation, in the following approximate
quantities, and of the following sizes and descriptions:

fittings above described, and directing that said sealed bid.
will be received up to the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.X. on July 10,
1956.
