A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'IHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEl1ENT, TO WIT:

AND APPROVING THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMEN'l' IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
\mEREAS, public convenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and completion of a publio improvement in the City
or Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of West street troa La Palma
Avenue to l.ollJle1'a :Drive 81' exoaTation, paving
wi th pl.ant-a1x surtacing, oenstruction et
eoncrete (nou"bs and gutters, sielewal.ks a_
eross-gutters, reDlGUl.ing ot con.zoete irri-
gation line, and appurtenant wozok aa iailcated
on the plans, Job No. 114.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instruoted George E.
~JJ'ke, ~ Bagi.e,zo to prepare detailed designs,
pans, proI'Tles, drawings and specifioations, and estimates of
quantities and costs~ and make neoessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said publio improvement; and
WHEREAS, said City EUi.e~zo has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings an speoifications for the oon-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Counoil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed de-
si@ns, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations for said public
improvement above mentioned are in acoordanoe with good engineering
praotice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the oitizens and residents in said area for
the purpose s for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, prOfiles, draw-
ings and speCifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City Engi.eer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be construoted in accordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications as prepared by said

mo<nrioations thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is her eby, authorized and directed to
publish a notioe according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equip-
ment, a~d all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
-- and water, and performing all work necessary to oonstruct and oom-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in str jt)t accordano e with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifioa-
tions as prepared by said a,l~., -.."ta_. , the publio improve-
ment herei r:abcve men tioned an described, and fixing the l~th
day of __!..~ , 195L, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock .M.
as the c.8.telT.l hour for the opening of said bids at the City
