A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE JOINT CONSTRUCTION
AlID IlfSTALLATION WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
OF A FULL TRAFFIC ACTUATED TRAFFIC CONTROL
SIGNAL SYSTDol AlfD HIaHWAY LIGHTING AT '!HE INTER-

ROUTE VII-ORA-178-AlJA (LINCOLN AVENUE) WITHIN
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, AlID PROVIDING FOR THE PAY-
MENT OF A PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF BY THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the State and the Oit,. or Anaheim contem-
plate the joint installation of a fUll traffic actuated
traffic control signal s,.stem and highwa,. lighting at the
intersection of Magnolia Avenue with State Highwa,. Rout.
VII-Ora-l78-Ana (Lincoln Avenue), within the City of Anaheim;
. and
,
WHEREAS, the State and Cit,. desire to enter into
an agreement for the construction and installation of said
traffic control signal s,.stem and highway lighting and to
provide for the maintenance tunctions that ant to be per-
formed b,. the State and the Cit,.. and to specit;r the propor-
tionate share of the costs that are to be borne by the Cit,.
and the State, as more particularly set forth in the form of
agreement submitted to the City by the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City or Anaheim that the City be, and it is hereb7,
authorized to enter into an agreement with the State or
Caliromia, in the usual and customary form used and pro-
vided by the State of California in such na tt.rs, ror the
joint installation of a full traffic actuated trarfic con-
, trol signal system and highway lighting at the intersection
of Magnolia Avenue with State Highwa,. Route VII-Ora-178-Ana
(Lincoln Avenue), wi thin the Ci ty of Anaheim, upon the terms
and conditions set forth in said agre81llent, and upon the
fUrther condition that the contract or contracts ror the con-
struction and installation of said traffic control signal
system and highway lighting shall be awarded by the State to
the lowest responsible bidder, after the publication of a
notioe inviting sealed proposals thereror, as provided in
Chapter 3, Part 5, Division 3, Title 2, Section 14290, and
as provided in Sections 37902 and 37903 or the Government
Oode or the State of Calirornia.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall pq
a share of the cost of construction and installation or said
traffio control signal syst81ll and highwa,. lighting, such .hare
to be a sum bearing the same proportion to the total cost or
installation or signals and highway lighting as the number or
highways under jurisdiction or the Oit,. which may enter the
intersection involved, bears to the total number of highwa,..
entering such intersection, and e8t~ated to be the SWM or
$10,500.00, the actual amount to be determined after award and
completion or the construction contract.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute
said agreement tor and on behalf of the City ot Anaheim.
