A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A DEED QUITCLADlING CERTAIN REAL PROP-
ERTY TO THE ANAHEIM SCHOOL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim School Distriot did
heretofore acquire joint title to the following described real property:
The Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of
the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 4
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian.
EXCEPl'ING THERID'RON all that portion of said land
described as follows: Commencing at the center
of said Section 17; thence South 00 20' 16" West
662.07 feet along the East line of the Southwest
quarter of said Section 17, said East line being
also the center line of Nutwood Street, to the
Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 17, said point being the true point
of beginning; thence continuing South 00 20 I 16"
West 368.27 feet to the Northeast corner of the
South 4i acres of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 17; thence South 890 58' 12" West
150.00 feet along the North line of said South
4i acres to the Southwest corner of land de-
scribed in deed to Emogene Stracner, a married
woman, recorded Jaluary 26th, 1955 in Book 2936,
Page 531 of Official Records; thence North 00 20'
16" East 169.00 feet; thence South 890 58' 12"
West 26.00 feet; thence North 00 20' 16" East
199.15 feet to the Northerly line of the South-
east quarter of the Northeast quarter of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence
North 890 55' 21" East 176.00 feet to the point
of beginning.
A.l'ID WHEREAS, 5 acres of said property is needed by the City for
use as a playground and recreational area, and the balance is considered
necessary by the Anaheim School District for a new school site; and
WHEREAS, said property was purchased jointly by the City and the
School District in order to facilitate the purchase thereof, the City taking
title to an undivided 5/8.746 interest therein and the School District an
undivided 3.746/8.746 interest therein, the City and said School District
having theretofore agreed to divide said property at a later date according
to their respective interests.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the City of Anaheim remise, release and quitclaim to the Ana-
heim School District, a political subdivision of Orange County, California,
the real property in the City of Anaheim, County of Or&lge, State of
California described as follows:

Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M.
located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:

The Northerly 344.29 feet of the SEi- of the NEi- of
the swi- of said Section 17.

EXCEPTING therefrom the Northerly 199.15 feet of
the Easterly 176 feet.
ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom the Easterly 150 feet of
the Northerly 140.47 feet of the Southerly 169
feet of the Northerly 368.27 feet.
this being the undivided 3.746/8.746 interest in subject property purchased
by the School District as hereinabove mentioned.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed remising, re-
leasing and quitclaiming to said School District said portion of real
property hereinabove described, representing the undivided 3.746/8.746
interest purchased by said School District, and to deliver said deed to
said School District when a Quitclaim Deed is received by the City from
the Anaheim School District quitclaiming all its right , title and interest
in and to the remainder of said real property hereinabove described,
representing the undivided 5/8.746 interest purchased by the City of
Anaheim.
AlID BE IT FURTHER .RESOL VED that the City Cle rk be, and she is
hereby, authorized and directed to certify a copy of this Resolution and
cause the same to be attached to the deed to be executed by the Mayor and
the City Clerk on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
