RESOLUTION NO. 3289 --, A RESOLUTION OF' THE CrTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ASCERTAINING AND DETERHINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID I~OR EACH CRAFT, OR TYPE OF WORKl'IAN, OR 1-1ECHANIC NEEDED FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ALL MATERIALS, PLl\l~T, TABOR AND SERVICES FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLING TWO ELECTR.1C.ALLY DRIVEN, m;Ep WELL, TURBINE TYPE PUHPS, IN WELLS NOS. 9 AND 10, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, WORK CRDER NO. 1415. WIllffiEAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find and determine that public convenience and necessity require the acquisition of materials, plant, labor and services for the public improvement consisting of the furnishine; and installation of two electrically driven, deep well, turbine type pumps, Olle to be installed in Well No.9 on Lot 98 of Tract 1803, near 940 Kenmore Street, and one in 'Well No. 10 at the Southeast corner of Orange Avenue and Trident Street, in the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California requires that the City Council ascertain and determine the general prevail- ing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holida:.}Ts and overtime work on public works and improvements in the locality in which the work is to be per- formed, for each craft or type of workman, laborer or mechanic needed for the execution of such public contracts and the making of such public improvements, and for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for the execution and completion of said public contracts or improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that, in accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the City Council has ascertained and does hereby determine the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and overtime work on public works and the public improvement consisting of the furnishing and installation of two electrically driven, deep well, turbine type pumps, one to be installed in Well No. 9 on Lot 98 in Tract 1803, near 940 Kenmore Street, and one in Well No. 10 at the South- east corner of Orange Avenue and Trident Street, in the City of Anaheim, Work Order No. l415, in the locality in which such work is to be performed and each craft or type of laborer, workman or I1eCncn ic needed for the execution of pub- lic works contracts or contracts for furnishing of all plant, materials, labor, services and equipment for the public improvement consisting of the furnishing and installation of two electrically driven, deep well, turbine type pumps, in Wells Nos. 9 and 10, hereinabove mentioned, in the City of Anaheim, and that said prevailing rates so determined are as follows: TITLE OF POSITION HOURLY RATE OF PAY ,.-.. The overtime rule establishing the rates of overtime and holiday work shall be in accordance with the followiJlg: Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous emploYTlent except for lUllch periods, shall constitute a day's work, beginning on Honday and continuing through Friday each week. Where "TOrk is required in excess of eight hours in anyone day or during the interval of time from 5:00 o'clock P.E. Friday and 12:00 o I clock midnight Saturday night, such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half ~~) times the basic rate of wages, and on SUlldayS and holidays such "I'<Jrk shall be paid for at the r~inimum rate of double the basic rate of wages, except as otl~rwise provided in the September, 1955 revision of t~e A.G.C. - A.F.L. Southern California Master Labor Agreement and Supplements. Properly indentured apprentices to any of the trades listed above may be 8ffi?10yed ~pon such public improvenents with skilled workmen, subject to t he provisions of Section 1777.5 of the Labor Code of the State of Cal- ifornia, the wage rates for such apprentices to be determined as provided in said Section 1777.5.
