A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH
THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY
COMPANY GRANTING TO THE CITY A LICENSE TO
USE CERTAIN LAND SITUATED AT OR NEAR
ATWOOD, ORANGE COUNTY, FOR THE WIDENING
AND IMPROVEMENT OF LA PALMA AVENUE, CROSSING
NO. 2N -1.1.
WHEREAS, The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe ,Railway
Company, a Kansas corporation, has tendered to the City of
Anaheim a license agreement dated August 7, 1962, licensing
and permitting the City of Anaheim to use certain land ex-
clusively as a site for widening and improvement of La Palma
Avenue, Crossing No. 2N -1.1 of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa
Fe Railway Company, subject to the rights and easements therein
excepted and reserved, and upon the terms and conditions therein
set forth, the land being situated at or near Atwood, Orange
County, California and outlined in red coloring on the print
attached to said License Agreement, numbered CECL 77- 29340, dated
July 20, 1962, and marked "Exhibit A"; and
WHEREAS, said license agreement has this day been
submitted to the City Council for consideration, and the City
Council does find and determine that it would be for the bene-
fit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to enter into
said license agreement with said Railway Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the license agreement, dated
August 7, 1962, tendered to the City of Anaheim by The Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, a Kansas corporation,
licensing and permitting the City of Anaheim to use certain
land exclusively as a site for widening and improvement of
La Palma Avenue, Crossing No. 2N -1.1 of The Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railway Company, subject to the rights and ease-
ments therein excepted and reserved, and upon the terms and
conditions therein set forth, the land being situated at or
near Atwood, Orange County, California and outlined in red
coloring on the print attached to said License Agreement,
numbered CELL 77- 29340, dated July 20, 1962, and marked
Exhibit A," be, and the same is hereby, approved and accepted.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
agreement above mentioned for and on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Dutton.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 7th day of
August, 1962.
