A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES
OF ANAHEIM, FULLERTON AND PLACENTIA WITH
REFERENCE TO THE INSTALLATION OF A FIXED TIME
TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM AND SAFETY LIGHTING AT
THE INTERSECTION OF ORANGETHORPE AND PLACENTIA
AVENUES.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Fullerton and Placentia
contemplate installation of a fixed -time traffic signal system
and safety lighting at the intersection of Orangethorpe and Pla-
centia Avenues, a portion of which intersection is in each of the
three cities; and
WHEREAS, said Cities desire to provide for the instal-
lation of said traffic signal and the maintenance functions that
are to be performed by said Cities and to specify the proportion-
ate share of the costs that are to be borne by each of said Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted to the
City Council be made and entered into by and between the City of
Anaheim, the City of Fullerton and the City of Placentia, pro-
viding for the installation of a fixed -time traffic signal
system and safety lighting at the intersection of Orangethorpe
and Placentia Avenues, upon the following terms and conditions:
1. The City of Anaheim shall:
(a) Furnish the aforementioned fixed -time traffic
signal system and safety lighting through construction
by contracts and construction contractors, said contracts
to be executed in conformity with Section 1.12.050 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code, and the installation of said
fixed -time traffic signal system and safety lighting to
be accomplished in conformity with standard plans and
specifications on file in the office of the City
Engineer of the City of Anaheim.
(b) Advance the total expense of preparation of
plans and specifications, construction engineering,
inspection and construction costs to complete the
traffic control signal system and safety lighting.
(c) Anaheim shall maintain and operate the entire
fixed -time traffic signal system as constructed.
2. The City of B~'t lletton shall:
(a) Reimburse Anaheim promptly upon rendition of
statement therefor, Fullerton's share of expense of
preparation of plans and specifications, construction
engineering, inspection and construction costs, to
complete the fixed -time traffic signal system and
safety lighting, such share to be twenty -five (25%)
per cent of the total of the aforementioned costs.
It is estimated that the total cost of instal-
lation will be Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000); however,
the actual amount shall be determined after completion
of the construction project.

(b) Reimburse Anaheim for Fullerton's proportion-
ate share of the cost of general maintenance and oper-
ation of the aforementioned fixed -time traffic signal
system and safety lighting, which share shall be
twenty -five (25 per cent of the total cost of general
maintenance and .operation of said signals.
3. The City of Placentia shall:
(a) Reimburse Anaheim promptly upon rendition of
statement therefor, Placentia's share of expense of
preparation of plans and specifications, construction
engineering, inspection and construction costs, to
complete the fixed -time traffic signal- system and safety
lighting, such share to be fifty per cent 150 of the
total of the aforementioned costs.
It is estimated that the total cost of the instal-
lation will be Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000); however,
the actual amount shall be determined after completion
of the construction project.
(b) Reimburse Anaheim for Placentia's proportion-
ate share of the cost of general maintenance and operation
of the aforementioned fixed -time traffic signal system
and safety lighting_, which share shall be fifty per cent
(50 of the total cost of general maintenance. and oper-
ation of said signals.

Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 31st day of July, 1962.
