RESOLUTION NO. )278
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND APPROV-
ING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT HERETO-
FORE MADE AND ENTERED INTO WITH THE
ORANGE COUNTY PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
RELATING TO THE USE OF THEIR TARGET RANGE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, by
its Resolution No. 2660, did enter into an agreement with the
Orange Oounty Peace Offioers Association for the use of the
Association's target range for the use and training of the
Anaheim police officers; and
WHEREAS, the number of officers using said range has
increased from )0 to 40 officers; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable by the City Council
and the officers of the Orange County Peace Officers Associa-
tion to amend the contract heretofore entered into so as to
include 40 rather than )0 officers, and to make certain other
minor amendments to the agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to execute a new
agreement to be effective as of the 2nd day of March, 1956,
embodying the provisions of the old agreement and the amend-
ments agreed upon, said contract being attached hereto and
made a part hereof by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement entered into by
Resolution No. 2660 with the Orange County Peace Officers
Association be amended and a new contract entered into, as
before set forth, and that the Mayor and the City Olerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 8th day of May, 1956.
