;V:EiEHEAS, on or about the 10th day of Nay, 1955, the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange duly passed and
adopted a resolution for the widening and improvement of a
portion of Harbor Boulevard lying partly within the City of
Anaheim and partly without the City of Anaheim; and
',fdER&iiS, said Board of Supervisors did resolve to
widen and improve said Harbor Boulevard lying within the City
of Anaheim and to declare it to be a part of the County High-
way System upon the following conditions:
"I. That 1::ho City of Anaheim will acquire the
DecessaFJ rights of way for the proposed
widening and improvement of said portion
of Harbor Boulevard.
"2. That the entire cost of the acquisition of
necessary rights of way and improvements
will be financed by accumulation of the City
of Anaheim I s share of County Gas Tax Fund
aid to cities."
AND .vV.:'-lERi:;;AS, on or about the 16th day of May, 1955,
the Cit,v Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Ordinance No.
994 requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange to improve that portion of Har>bor Bouleval'd lying within
the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim and extending from
I1anchester Avenue southerly to the City Limits, as a part of a
county system of roads, and consenting to such improvement; and
dIiEREAS, pursuant to 3aid l'esolution and said ordi-
;:Jance the County at' Orange did proceed with the wideni.ng and
ir!]iJl'ovement of said Harbor Boulevard, and has completed said
iWO)rovement and has rendered to the City of Anaheim a state-
ment shmn.ng in detail the total cost of such improvement, with
a segregation of the cost of Ghat portion uf said Harbor Boule-
vard lying Hithin the City of Ana."eim, and has requested the
Gi ty of Anaheir.1 co finally accept the Hark on Harbor Boulevard
and pay its pro9or'tionate share of the cost of said improve-
men t of that 9ortion Cl~ saicJ. Eal'bo I' Boulev2rd within the City

~nEREAS, tile City Council does find that the widen-
ing and imp:r'ovement of said Harbor Boulevard has been completed
in a good and. vwrkmanlike manner and should be accepted, and
that the City of Anaheim should pay the cost of said improve-
ment of that portion of Harbor Boulevard lying within the City
OI~ Anaheim, .Jhich the City hel'eby finds to be the sum of

WHERBAS, the Co,mty of' Orange did, at the request
of' the City, make certain :tmppovements of' Ball Road,
Katella Avenue, West Street and Cerritos Avenue in the City
of' Anaheim, as more pal.ticularly set f'orth in the statement
rendered by the County of oran~e under date of' January 17,
1956, arno1Jotin:; to the sum of ";'9,005.55, "Jhich improvements
should be accepted and said amount paid to the County of
Orange; and
lNHER.8AS, said Hidening and improvement of Harbor
Boulevrrd was made and completed as a joint venture between
the County of Orange and the City of' Anaheim, with an agree-
ment that the cost of' said public improvement would be shared
and that the City ;,1Ould pay the cost of' said improvement made
"1.i thin the City Limits of the City of Anaheim and the County
of Orange the cost of' that poC'tion of the improvement lying
outside of the City Limits, and the County of Orange was
designated as the contl'acting agent to t1Take or cause said im-
provement to be made, and to award all contracts theref'or,
and said contracts were awarded by the County of Orange and
said improvement made in the manner reqi',ired by law.
NOW, THBREJ:i'OHE, BE IT HbSOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that that certain public improvement,
c:.msistinc; of the '-'Tidening and paving of Harbor Boulevard,
be, and the same is her'eby, accepted, and that the City
'I'l'easurer be, and she is her8by, authorized and directed to
pay to the County of' Orange the sum of' that portion of the
cost of the improvement of Harbor Boulevard lying wi thin the
City Lirrdts of the City of Anaheim, together with the im-
provement and repair of Ball Road, Katella Avenue, West
Street and Cerritos Avenue, as stown in the statement rendered
b'y the County of' Orange on January 17, 1956, in the aggregate
sum of 046,175.00.
AND BE II' ?tJR'l'HEIl ibSOLVED that the County of Orange
be, and it i~ hereby,reque~ted to pay to the City i~s share
of the Gasc11ne Tax allocaclons f'or the years 1954-55 and
1955-56 for this p:r'oject, in the amo\mt of $33,912.00.
