A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF BOULEVARD STOP SIGNS ON
NORTH STREET AT THE INTERSECTION OF CITRON
STREET.
u}IEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision "B," of the
California Vehicle Code provides that local authorities, in
their respective jurisdiction, shall have authority to place
and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained, such
traffic signs as may be necessary to indicate and carry out
the provisions of the California Vehicle Code and local
traffic ordinances, or to re ulate, warn or Taide traffic;
and
WT3:_ I.: AS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section 3213,
provides that the City Council shall, by resolution, determine
and designate the character of all official warning and direc-
tion signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to eliminate
traffic hazards and promote the safety and welfare of citizens
and residents of the City of Anaheim, boulevard stop signs
should be established and maintained on North Street at the
intersection of North and Citron Streets, in the City of
Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT EESOLVED by the City Co
of the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to place and maintain boule-
vard stop signs on North Street, on both sides, at the inter-
section of North and Citron Streets; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop signs so es-
tablished and maintained shall conform to the regulations of
the California Vehicle Code as to size and design.
